BodPave®85 – Heavy-Duty Grass and Gravel Grid for Permeable Surfaces
TERRAM BodPave®85 is a heavy-duty grass and gravel grid designed for stabilising trafficable and intensively used surfaces. Depending on the application, the open cells can be filled with grass, gravel, chippings or another suitable mineral material.
With a properly designed sub-base, the grid system can achieve a static load capacity of up to 400 t/m². At the same time, the open structure allows rainwater to infiltrate through the surface.
BodPave®85 is suitable for applications including:

Stable Surfaces with a Water-Permeable Structure
The BodPave®85 panels are connected to form a stable surface system. This helps distribute loads across the grid structure.
A sub-base matched to the intended use is required to achieve the specified load-bearing capacity. The relevant installation and planning instructions should be followed during construction.
Open Grid Structure for Rainwater Infiltration
BodPave®85 features an open surface structure of up to 92%. This allows rainwater to pass through the filled cells and infiltrate into the ground below.
The system is therefore suitable for areas where a load-bearing surface is required in combination with a water-permeable finish. Depending on the location, soil conditions and construction, additional drainage measures may still be necessary.
When filled with grass, the open cells allow vegetation to grow through the grid. When filled with gravel or chippings, the grid helps stabilise the fill material and can reduce material movement and rutting.

Soil protection
The demand for unsealed usable areas has risen sharply in recent years, and with it the demand for alternatives to traditional ground coverings such as asphalt and concrete. Our products for ground and turf protection meet the requirement for permanent strength without affecting the natural infiltration of rainwater. The result is unsealed yet resilient and natural green or gravel surfaces. These options allow footpaths, access roads and even parking areas to be planned and designed to a high standard.
Driveable lawn grids: Our lawn grids are made of plastic and are used for ground stabilisation and lawn protection. The range includes simple lawn grids for footpaths or parking areas as well as stable lawn protection grids suitable for higher vehicle loads.
Lawn grids: Our BodPave®85 honeycomb grid system is made of plastic and is used to stabilise and reinforce lawns and gravel areas. The individual BodPave®85 panels are connected to each other with a click system to form a heavy-duty surface. They have an open grid structure that can be filled with a mixture of soil, sand and grass seed or covered with turf. Filling the panels with gravel is also a suitable decorative alternative.
Event flooring: Our event flooring includes safety rubber mats, floor mats and turf protection grids. These floor coverings are suitable for different types of flooring and provide protection at trade fairs, large events or smaller events.
Geocells: Geocells consist of three-dimensional, flexible honeycomb units made from thermally bonded non-woven fabric strips. Our geocells are used for erosion control and soil stabilisation.
