TUBEX growth sleeves make a valuable contribution when it comes to providing young seedlings with optimal support for growth and protecting them from wildlife damage. The TUBEX range offers a wide selection of solutions for every individual protection application.

Tubex Ventex – with patented ventilation system

The classic growth sleeve for forest plants is TUBEX Ventex, which uses its patented ventilation system to create a favourable microclimate inside the sleeve. Thanks to the mini greenhouse effect, seedlings have better chances of survival and are optimally protected even in extreme weather conditions. Nevertheless, thanks to the ventilation, they can adapt to the forest climate, so that the young plants have no problem surviving without the growth sleeve. The classic TUBEX Ventex is now also available as a biodegradable growth sleeve.

Tubex Nature – biodegradable growth sleeve

The latest innovation in tree protection is TUBEX Nature – for a plastic-free forest. Our biodegradable growth sleeve is made from 100% renewable, natural raw materials, yet offers the same quality advantages as the TUBEX Ventex growth sleeve. It is our response to the trend in forestry towards using less and less plastic in forests. With TUBEX Nature, you can provide your young plants with full protection without microplastics or time-consuming removal.

Tubex Ventex Clear – cultivation under cover

TUBEX Ventex Clear, a particularly light-permeable growth sleeve, was developed especially for reforestation "under cover", i.e. within an existing group of trees. Thanks to this high light permeability, young plants receive enough light to develop and grow even in the shade.

Tubex Combitube – protection against herbicides

We also offer the TUBEX Combitube, the ideal growth sleeve for difficult locations, e.g. open spaces or areas where herbicides are used.

When selecting the height of the growth sleeves, we recommend 120 cm for roe deer populations, 150 cm for fallow deer populations and 180 cm for red deer populations.

Tubex growth sleeves for viticulture

In addition to growth sleeves for forest plants, the TUBEX range also offers growth sleeves for viticulture. The TUBEX Vine Original offers excellent growing conditions, especially for large-leaved grape varieties, while the slightly smaller TUBEX Ecovine offers a cost-effective alternative for more delicate varieties. When the vines are protected by growth sleeves, some time-consuming work is no longer necessary. This includes breaking out side shoots and tying up the vines. The most flexible solution for vine protection is the TUBEX Vinewrap, as this growth sleeve simply grows with the trunk and can also be installed on established trees as protection against browsing.

Tubex growth sleeves for fruit growing

Our wraps for fruit trees offer a particularly high degree of flexibility. The growth sleeves are easy to install even on established trees and offer a long service life, as they can "grow" with the trunk. TUBEX Fruitwrap can also be used as vine protection for small-leaved vines. TUBEX Easywrap is particularly suitable for single-stem fruit tree varieties.

All growth sleeves for forest plants have a predetermined breaking point where the sleeve breaks open as soon as the tree reaches the appropriate diameter. With the new TUBEX recycling programme, we ensure that used sleeves are collected and returned to the raw material cycle. Ventex, Ventex Clear, Combitube, Vine Original, Ecovine, Fruitwrap and Easywrap are suitable for the recycling programme.
