Our root protection fleeces are made from a particularly robust, thermally bonded non-woven fabric. The high-quality material ensures reliable protection against root penetration and can even withstand strong tree roots. The root fleeces can be used wherever structures, cycle paths and footpaths need to be protected from damage caused by tree roots. Our root protection fleeces are available as a water-permeable version and as a waterproof root barrier. Thanks to its special mechanical properties, the water-permeable TERRAM Rootguard can also be used as a weed barrier, e.g. under particularly sharp and pointed stones. The waterproof root barrier should only be installed vertically, e.g. to protect buildings or pipes, so as not to interfere with the natural water cycle. When installed vertically, our water-impermeable root fleece serves as a reliable root and rhizome barrier. The root barrier helps to keep aggressive root runners and rhizomes in check and prevent the uncontrolled growth of bamboo and similar plants. At the same time, it also serves as a lawn edging or flower bed border to visually separate different areas of the garden in an attractive way.
