GrassProtecta® - For a resilient lawn without soil sealing
GrassProtecta® is a flexible, resilient plastic lawn grid that offers a wide range of applications. GrassProtecta® Standard can be driven on by cars weighing up to 2 tons per axle, but it is also suitable for protecting lawns that are heavily used by children playing, wheelchair users, bicycles, strollers, etc. The GrassProtecta® lawn grid protects green spaces from wear and tear and ruts without sealing the soil. The special wave-shaped structure of the lawn grid distributes the weight over a larger area. This prevents point loading of the soil, protects the soil from compaction, and allows water to seep away unhindered. As the lawn can grow through the GrassProtecta, the green area retains its natural appearance.
The flexible ground protection solution for your outdoor projects
GrassProtecta® can be used on existing and newly laid lawns. The plastic lawn grid is ideal for permanent installation, e.g., when creating lawn parking spaces and barrier-free paths for wheelchair users, strollers, etc. GrassProtecta® is also a sustainable alternative to asphalt, for example, when constructing paths in urban parks. The lawn grid only reaches its full load-bearing capacity once the turf has grown through it, after which it is barely visible.
Of course, GrassProtecta® can also be used temporarily. Temporary installation of the lawn grid is ideal when an existing lawn area is to be used for outdoor events. The plastic lawn grid protects green spaces, e.g., at festivals, markets, and concerts, from wear and tear caused by vehicles and pedestrians, allowing guests to enjoy a mud-free event.
Everything you need – in one package!
With this package deal, you get everything you need to install GrassProtecta®. An additional substructure is usually not necessary. The lawn grid is simply rolled out on the prepared ground and secured with the number of pins supplied.
The material can be cut to size if necessary.

The green area can be walked on and driven over immediately after laying GrassProtecta®. To ensure that the grass grows quickly through the plastic grid and a stable connection between the turf and GrassProtecta® can be established, we recommend laying the lawn grid during the growing season.

How are drive-over lawn grids laid?
Our GrassProtecta grass protection grid is lightweight and can usually be laid without a substructure. To do this, the lawn grid is rolled out on the prepared, draining ground and fixed with U-pins.
When is the best time to lay drive-over lawn grids?
It is recommended to lay the drive-over lawn grid during the growing season. This allows the grass to grow quickly through the grid and form a tight and stable connection with the lawn protection grid.
What is the difference between the Standard and Premium versions?
You can choose between Standard and Premium depending on the expected load. GrassProtecta Standard can withstand loads of up to 2 tonnes per axle. This makes it well suited for use on smaller areas for cars where there is not much manoeuvring. For larger areas or loads from motorhomes or vans, we recommend using GrassProtecta Premium, which can withstand loads of up to 8 tonnes per axle.
