hanit® plastic paving stones – practical elements for perfect joints
hanit® plastic paving stones are a practical alternative to concrete paving stones. The plastic paving stones are supplied as practical elements measuring 50 cm x 50 cm. Each plastic paving stone element consists of 16 paving stones, which are separated by uniform joints. With their practical click system, the paving stone elements can be connected to each other, creating a perfect joint pattern even on large areas. The paving stone alternative hardly differs visually from the original and, with the appropriate substructure, offers the same high load-bearing capacity (suitable for load class SLW60 according to DIN 1072).
Plastic paving made of hanit® – the lightweight solution for high laying performance
Paving work is often a laborious challenge. Conventional paving stones are heavy, joints must be precisely measured, and laying them is a slow process. Plastic paving elements from hanit® are an alternative to paving stones. They weigh only 8.4 kg and are therefore significantly lighter than the same amount of conventional paving stones. The stones and joints are already perfectly arranged on the plastic paving elements from hanit®, allowing larger areas to be laid in one go. A significant saving in labor and time – with a perfect result!
hanit® paving stone elements with wide joints – for a natural water cycle
The plastic paving stones made of hanit® have wide joints through which rainwater can easily seep away. This means that the sealing is approx. 85%, provided that a permeable filling material such as basalt joint sand is used. To prevent weeds growing between the joints, we recommend using a weed barrier.

Uses of hanit®
Soil protection
The demand for unsealed usable areas has risen sharply in recent years, and with it the demand for alternatives to traditional ground coverings such as asphalt and concrete. Our products for ground and turf protection meet the requirement for permanent strength without affecting the natural infiltration of rainwater. The result is unsealed yet resilient and natural green or gravel surfaces. These options allow footpaths, access roads and even parking areas to be planned and designed to a high standard.
Driveable lawn grids: Our lawn grids are made of plastic and are used for ground stabilisation and lawn protection. The range includes simple lawn grids for footpaths or parking areas as well as stable lawn protection grids suitable for higher vehicle loads.
Lawn grids: Our BodPave®85 honeycomb grid system is made of plastic and is used to stabilise and reinforce lawns and gravel areas. The individual BodPave®85 panels are connected to each other with a click system to form a heavy-duty surface. They have an open grid structure that can be filled with a mixture of soil, sand and grass seed or covered with turf. Filling the panels with gravel is also a suitable decorative alternative.
Event flooring: Our event flooring includes safety rubber mats, floor mats and turf protection grids. These floor coverings are suitable for different types of flooring and provide protection at trade fairs, large events or smaller events.
Geocells: Geocells consist of three-dimensional, flexible honeycomb units made from thermally bonded non-woven fabric strips. Our geocells are used for erosion control and soil stabilisation.
