hanit® bench slats – versatile applications for every need
Our bench slats are made from carefully processed hanit® recycled plastic and feature hot-dip galvanized reinforcement for added stability. These timeless bench slats can be used, among other things, to renovate existing benches as replacements for conventional wooden bench slats. It is also possible to construct new, custom-made seating. The reinforced brown boards, which are 200 cm long, are dimensionally stable and colorfast, meaning they can be used in various locations for decades. Thanks to the weather-resistant hanit® recycled plastic material, the planks are durable and resistant to all seasons; frost and intense heat cannot harm them. Another advantage is that no maintenance or storage work is required.

The base material of the plastic bench slats is hanit® recycled plastic, which has been awarded the "DER BLAUE ENGEL" environmental label. It can be worked in the same way as wood (drilling, sawing, etc.) and also has an extremely long service life and weather resistance. This means that the bench slats can also be installed in damp environments without any concerns. The integrated hot-dip galvanized reinforcement in the planks provides additional stability. There is generally no risk of injury from splinters or health hazards from impregnating agents and pollutants. Our plastic bench planks are therefore an ideal imitation of wood.
Construction notes
The bench slats made of hanit® recycled plastic must be mounted on the supports at a maximum distance of 130 cm to ensure safe load distribution. If a completely new seating structure is planned, it is recommended to connect the individual bench slats to each other on a steel strip or similar stable material beforehand so that the pressure load is optimally distributed and slipping apart is prevented. Possible areas of application for plastic bench slats include sports facilities, forest and open-air stages, or bench structures on concrete foundations. They can also be mounted on steel frames, U-stones, or existing masonry.
