Premium root barrier – so that all plants stay in their place
Whether in their own gardens or in city parks, gardeners often face the same problem: many plants, such as bamboo or Chinese silver grass, form dense root runners just below the surface of the soil and thus spread rapidly. To prevent raspberries, mint, Chinese silver grass, or bamboo from spreading uncontrollably, their spread should be limited with a rhizome barrier. With the premiumgarden root barrier, we offer the right product for this purpose.
Vertical installation for maximum protection against root runners
The root barrier consists of a high-strength nonwoven fabric with a special root-resistant coating. Vertical installation of the rhizome barrier stops the uncontrolled spread of root runners or rhizomes. The plant should be enclosed with the rhizome barrier when planting in order to control root runners from the outset. If the root barrier is left to protrude a few centimeters above the ground, the rhizome barrier also serves as a watering ring. This prevents the water from spreading too quickly, keeping the soil around the plant moist for longer and preventing it from drying out too quickly.

You will receive a roll measuring 0.66 m x 3.5 m, i.e. after installation, the root barrier will be at a depth of up to 0.66 m and have a diameter of approx. 1.1 m. This size is tailored to the typical root growth of many ornamental grasses and bamboo varieties and thus provides reliable protection against uncontrolled spread. An adhesive strip is pre-installed at the end of the rhizome barrier roll so that the root barrier can be securely sealed and root-proof.

The waterproof root barrier also helps to keep rhizomes and aggressive root runners in check and prevent the uncontrolled spread of bamboo and similar plants.
Water storage fabric: Water storage fabrics absorb many times their weight in water, thus preventing the soil from drying out. The biodegradable irrigation fabric strips are simply mixed into the soil, where they ensure that stored water reaches the roots directly. For the irrigation of trees in particular, we offer our irrigation net, which is placed around the root ball before planting.
Tablecloths: Our fleece tablecloths are particularly tear-resistant and durable, making them ideal for garden parties and other outdoor events. The fleece tablecloths are washable and reusable, making them a cost-effective alternative to paper tablecloths.
