When building a deck, the use of deck underlay is recommended for several reasons. On the one hand, the deck underlay serves as a separating layer, for example, to reliably separate the different layers of the substructure in a tiled or paved deck. This prevents different materials from mixing and ensures the soil stability required for deck construction.
When building a wooden or plastic decking terrace, the terrace fleece keeps ground pests away. It also serves as a weed barrier and prevents weeds from growing up through the joints of the decking boards. The PREMIUM decking underlay consists of a thermally bonded PP/PE core-sheath fiber underlay, through which hardly any light can penetrate. This stops photosynthesis and causes unwanted weeds to wither. Weed control with weed barrier fabric is an environmentally friendly alternative to aggressive chemical weed killers.
The patio fleece is permeable to air and water, which is an important requirement for use in patio construction. This prevents rainwater from accumulating and at the same time prevents the formation of fungi and mold under the new patio.

Instructions for laying the patio construction fleece
The PREMIUM patio fleece is laid on the substructure of the patio. Sand or gravel is then applied and leveled before the patio slabs or the support points for the wooden structure are laid and aligned. The patio construction fleece is inconspicuous, easy to cut, does not fray at the edges, and is very easy to position. It can be flexibly adapted to uneven ground and can be quickly and easily secured using metal pegs. When laying several sections, an overlap of 8–10 cm is recommended.
With a pH value between 2 and 14 and a soil temperature of < 25°C, the terrace construction fleece is durable in natural soils for more than 25 years.
