TERRAM Weedguard – Premium-quality weed barrier
TERRAM Weedguard is a special geotextile that is permeable to water, oxygen, and nutrients, while reliably blocking weed seeds. It has proven itself over many years in weed control in professional gardening and landscaping, eliminating the need for chemical weed killers. The garden fabric is laid as a separating layer between topsoil, mulch, gravel, or bulk material. Weed control takes place both below and above the weed barrier.
TERRAM Weedguard is inconspicuous, easy to cut, and simple to position. The garden fleece can be flexibly adapted to uneven ground and can be secured quickly and easily. The use of weed fleece significantly reduces the amount of maintenance required for flower beds, and the beds always look clean and well-tended.
Further advantages of the weed and garden fabric:
• The weed barrier does not retain water and therefore does not provide a breeding ground for airborne seeds
. • The garden fabric reduces soil dehydration
. • Also suitable as a separating and filtering fabric.
Installation instructions:
- Remove any debris, weeds, and stones from the flower bed. Rake the area smooth and roll out the weed barrier. For large areas, lay the barrier strips parallel to each other, overlapping by 8-10 cm.
- Cut slits in the weed barrier to place it over existing plants. For larger plants, it is advisable to dig the planting hole first and then cover the area with the garden fleece.
- For smaller plants, the weed barrier can be cut in a cross shape over the planned location, then simply plant through the opening created.
- Cover the garden fabric completely with pebbles or about 5 cm of bark mulch to protect it from direct sunlight. This will also enhance the effectiveness of the weed fabric.
- You can design your garden as usual with plants of your choice. However, it is not possible to plant flower bulbs. As with root weeds, the shoots of flower bulbs will no longer reach the surface.

The weed control fabric is simply laid between the flower bed and the mulch layer, so that root weeds no longer have any chance of reaching the light. The weed barrier significantly reduces the amount of maintenance required for flower beds and borders.
Root protection: Our root protection fabrics offer reliable protection against damage caused by tree roots to buildings, cycle paths and footpaths. The waterproof root barrier also helps to keep rhizomes and aggressive root runners in check and prevent the uncontrolled spread of bamboo and similar plants.
Water storage fabric: Water storage fabrics absorb many times their weight in water, thus preventing the soil from drying out. The biodegradable irrigation fabric strips are simply mixed into the soil, where they ensure that stored water reaches the roots directly. For the irrigation of trees in particular, we offer our irrigation net, which is placed around the root ball before planting.
Tablecloths: Our fleece tablecloths are particularly tear-resistant and durable, making them ideal for garden parties and other outdoor events. The fleece tablecloths are washable and reusable, making them a cost-effective alternative to paper tablecloths.
