The climate is changing: summers are getting hotter and dry periods are becoming more frequent, even in our latitudes. Green spaces in particular suffer from increasing drought, as solar radiation is too intense and groundwater sources lie deep underground. With our innovative water storage fleece nets, you can counteract dehydration and significantly increase the chances of survival for your lawn. The irrigation nets are made from a biodegradable PLA/cellulose mixture, making them particularly suitable for the growth phase of young grass.
How does the compostable water storage fleece work?
Our water storage fleece nets are made from an extremely absorbent PLA/cellulose mixture that can absorb up to 10 liters of water per kilogram of soil. The fleece net is laid under the planned lawn area before planting. This increases the soil's own water storage capacity many times over and also prevents waterlogging. The water storage nets absorb large quantities of irrigation and rainwater and slowly release it to the surrounding roots. This ensures that the water goes exactly where it is needed. In addition, the water storage fleece also ensures loose, well-aerated soil and prevents compaction.
Biodegradable in 5-10 years – optimal lawn irrigation
The degradable water storage fleece consists of a PLA/cellulose mixture that has a shelf life of 5-10 years. This means that the material lasts longer than the 100% cellulose version and supplies a lawn with the ideal amount of water for a long time.

Geotextiles: TERRAM and premiumgarden brand geotextiles have proven themselves in professional gardening and landscaping for many years and are also becoming increasingly popular with hobby gardeners. Geotextiles can be used in a variety of ways as separating fleece, drainage fleece or even for weed control. All our geotextiles are UV-resistant, rot-proof and characterised by their high durability.
Weed protection: Our weed control fabrics are an environmentally friendly and sustainable way of controlling weeds and eliminate the need for aggressive chemicals in the garden. The weed control fabric is simply laid between the flower bed and the mulch layer, so that root weeds no longer have any chance of reaching the light. The weed barrier significantly reduces the amount of maintenance required for flower beds and borders.
Root protection: Our root protection fabrics offer reliable protection against damage caused by tree roots to buildings, cycle paths and footpaths. The waterproof root barrier also helps to keep rhizomes and aggressive root runners in check and prevent the uncontrolled spread of bamboo and similar plants.
Water storage fabric: Water storage fabrics absorb many times their weight in water, thus preventing the soil from drying out. The biodegradable irrigation fabric strips are simply mixed into the soil, where they ensure that stored water reaches the roots directly. For the irrigation of trees in particular, we offer our irrigation net, which is placed around the root ball before planting.
Seed fleece: Our TURFquick seed fleece is a biodegradable cellulose fleece with integrated seeds. This innovative seed fleece prevents fresh seeds from being eaten by birds or washed away by rain. As the seed fleece already contains all the nutrients necessary for seed development, sowing with TURFquick is child's play and no further fertilisation is required.
Tablecloths: Our fleece tablecloths are particularly tear-resistant and durable, making them ideal for garden parties and other outdoor events. The fleece tablecloths are washable and reusable, making them a cost-effective alternative to paper tablecloths.
