hanit® recycled plastic is manufactured from short-lived packaging using an innovative production process. hanit® recycled plastic not only reduces the burden on the environment, the material also meets the highest quality requirements and has been awarded the "BLUE ANGEL" label and approved in accordance with the European standard for toy safety. When handling hanit® plastic decking boards, there is no risk of injury from splinters or health hazards from harmful substances. The plastic decking boards can be drilled, sawn, and screwed in the same way as wooden decking boards, while care and maintenance work is not necessary.
Processing instructions for our hanit® recycled plastic decking boards
When installing hanit® plastic decking boards, it is important to take into account the temperature-dependent length variations of the material (up to +/- 1.5%). When screwing together decking boards made of hanit® recycled plastic, it is advisable to pre-drill the holes. The hole should be larger than the screw to allow for the temperature-related expansion behavior of the hanit® material. Due to increased tool wear, we generally recommend the use of carbide-tipped tools for working with hanit® products.
We recommend using our square posts, which are also made from the proven hanit® material, for the substructure of the deck. To prevent weeds from growing through the joints of the hanit® plastic decking boards, a deck underlay should be laid between the soil and the substructure.
