The beams are made of recycled hanit® plastic, which—unlike wood—has an extremely long service life and is weather-resistant. In addition, the square profiles have a classic wood look and are therefore an excellent imitation of wood. The processing options for hanit® (drilling, sawing, screwing, nailing, etc.) are also comparable to those for wood. hanit® is manufactured in Germany and is certified with the "DER BLAUE ENGEL" environmental label.
With our square profiles made of hanit® recycled plastic, you are making a conscious decision to choose a sustainable product that is primarily made from food packaging. In doing so, you are making an important contribution to preventing plastic waste, which is increasingly polluting the environment and our oceans. Please note that during the processing of the recycled material, residual moisture can cause a spongy, grid-like structure to form in the center of the square profile, which becomes visible during machine processing. This is due to the production process and cannot be avoided; it does not constitute grounds for complaint.
Notes on processing hanit® recycled plastic
When installing products made of recycled plastic, please note temperature-dependent length variations (these can be up to +/- 1.5%) and, if necessary, inquire about the maximum span. When screwing our square profiles together, the profile to be fastened must be pre-drilled. The hole should be larger than the screw to allow for the temperature-related expansion behavior of the hanit material.
