TERRAM geocells – soil stabilization with low installation height
TERRAM geocells are a cell system made from extremely durable fiber fleece. These cells are stretched using fastening hooks, filled with mineral filler material (gravel, crushed stone), and compacted. The filling material is held together by the ring tensile forces of the cells, creating a semi-rigid platform for soil reinforcement that distributes traffic loads across the surface and reduces deformation. This base layer system allows stable support systems to be created on low-bearing soils with a low installation height.

Soil reinforcement with geocells - Cost savings through less excavation
TERRAM geocells can be used wherever the height of the load-bearing substructure is limited or excavation for the foundation needs to be reduced. Not only is this more cost-effective than conventional foundation options, geocells for soil reinforcement can also be used where complex excavation work cannot be carried out, e.g., due to existing trees. TERRAM geocells have proven particularly useful in the construction of temporary construction roads. The filled and compacted cells distribute traffic loads over a large area, so that this base layer reinforcement enables intensive use of the construction road, even for heavy vehicles. After use, these structures can be easily dismantled.

Soil protection
The demand for unsealed usable areas has risen sharply in recent years, and with it the demand for alternatives to traditional ground coverings such as asphalt and concrete. Our products for ground and turf protection meet the requirement for permanent strength without affecting the natural infiltration of rainwater. The result is unsealed yet resilient and natural green or gravel surfaces. These options allow footpaths, access roads and even parking areas to be planned and designed to a high standard.
Driveable lawn grids: Our lawn grids are made of plastic and are used for ground stabilisation and lawn protection. The range includes simple lawn grids for footpaths or parking areas as well as stable lawn protection grids suitable for higher vehicle loads.
Lawn grids: Our BodPave®85 honeycomb grid system is made of plastic and is used to stabilise and reinforce lawns and gravel areas. The individual BodPave®85 panels are connected to each other with a click system to form a heavy-duty surface. They have an open grid structure that can be filled with a mixture of soil, sand and grass seed or covered with turf. Filling the panels with gravel is also a suitable decorative alternative.
Event flooring: Our event flooring includes safety rubber mats, floor mats and turf protection grids. These floor coverings are suitable for different types of flooring and provide protection at trade fairs, large events or smaller events.
Geocells: Geocells consist of three-dimensional, flexible honeycomb units made from thermally bonded non-woven fabric strips. Our geocells are used for erosion control and soil stabilisation.
