TurfProtecta® turf protection grid – ground protection for green spaces
TurfProtecta® is a robust plastic grid with a honeycomb structure for permanent ground protection. The turf protection grid can be laid quickly and easily on existing lawns. By growing together with the turf, the surface load-bearing capacity is increased and pressure loads are distributed. This means that the soil is less compacted and natural drainage is maintained. The plastic grid allows rainwater to seep away quickly, preventing puddles or mud.
Versatile ground protection applications – from walkways to dog parks
TurfProtecta® offers many different application possibilities. These include, for example, dog parks, animal husbandry, sidewalks, and garden design. The plastic grid protects the lawn even during leisure activities or celebrations and keeps the lawn healthy. In addition, areas with TurfProtecta® ground protection are also barrier-free and facilitate access for people with disabilities. The lawn protection grid is primarily designed for light loads. For ground protection under heavier loads from cars, we recommend using the TERRAM GrassProtecta lawn grid.
The turf protection grid is particularly suitable as ground protection for dog parks. The TurfProtecta® plastic grid structure protects the lawn from romping and digging dogs. This means that safe and attractive dog parks are no longer a problem. The turf and root structure remain protected by the grid and the lawn can regenerate quickly.
Easy installation of the lawn protection grid
With our U-pins, the TurfProtecta® lawn protection grid can be installed quickly and easily. No substructure is required on a level surface. You can find more information in our installation recommendations.

Soil protection
The demand for unsealed usable areas has risen sharply in recent years, and with it the demand for alternatives to traditional ground coverings such as asphalt and concrete. Our products for ground and turf protection meet the requirement for permanent strength without affecting the natural infiltration of rainwater. The result is unsealed yet resilient and natural green or gravel surfaces. These options allow footpaths, access roads and even parking areas to be planned and designed to a high standard.
Driveable lawn grids: Our lawn grids are made of plastic and are used for ground stabilisation and lawn protection. The range includes simple lawn grids for footpaths or parking areas as well as stable lawn protection grids suitable for higher vehicle loads.
Lawn grids: Our BodPave®85 honeycomb grid system is made of plastic and is used to stabilise and reinforce lawns and gravel areas. The individual BodPave®85 panels are connected to each other with a click system to form a heavy-duty surface. They have an open grid structure that can be filled with a mixture of soil, sand and grass seed or covered with turf. Filling the panels with gravel is also a suitable decorative alternative.
