GrassProtecta® Lawn Protection Grid – For Driveable, Naturally Green Areas
GrassProtecta® Premium (2kg/m²) is a heavy-duty lawn protection grid that offers a cost-effective, environmentally friendly alternative to sealed ground protection solutions such as asphalt. The plastic grid protects and reinforces green areas and ensures that water can seep into the ground unhindered, even under heavy vehicle loads (up to 8t/axle). GrassProtecta® prevents muddy puddles and ruts. The unique, oscillating structure of the grass protection grid distributes the weight of vehicles over a larger area, thus avoiding localized stress on the ground. GrassProtecta® also increases traction, ensuring greater stability and accessibility when driving a car or riding a bicycle, stroller, or wheelchair.
The flexible ground protection solution for making lawns versatile
GrassProtecta® Premium is made of UV-stabilized, durable HDPE, making it a long-lasting ground protection solution. The lawn protection grid can be installed on both existing and newly created green spaces. GrassProtecta® Premium is characterized by its very high load-bearing capacity (up to 8t/axle). The plastic grid is therefore particularly suitable for reinforcing green spaces that are to be used permanently as lawn parking lots, access roads, parking spaces for campers or food trucks, and much more. The lawn grid only reaches its full load-bearing capacity once the turf has grown together.
GrassProtecta® is of course also suitable for temporary use, e.g. for temporary ground protection at sporting events, festivals, markets, and much more. The plastic grid is used when an existing green space is to be used, for example, as a parking lot, access road, or event site. GrassProtecta® reliably protects lawns from wear and tear and allows visitors to enjoy a mud-free and barrier-free event experience.
Installation instructions for GrassProtecta® Premium Lawn Protection Grid
GrassProtecta® can be installed in just a few steps, and no substructure is usually required. The material can be cut to size if necessary. The lawn protection grid is simply rolled out on the prepared ground and fixed in place with the enclosed fastening hooks (4-6 U-pins/m²):

How are drive-over lawn grids laid?
Our GrassProtecta grass protection grid is lightweight and can usually be laid without a substructure. To do this, the lawn grid is rolled out on the prepared, draining ground and fixed with U-pins.
When is the best time to lay drive-over lawn grids?
It is recommended to lay the drive-over lawn grid during the growing season. This allows the grass to grow quickly through the grid and form a tight and stable connection with the lawn protection grid.
What is the difference between the Standard and Premium versions?
You can choose between Standard and Premium depending on the expected load. GrassProtecta Standard can withstand loads of up to 2 tonnes per axle. This makes it well suited for use on smaller areas for cars where there is not much manoeuvring. For larger areas or loads from motorhomes or vans, we recommend using GrassProtecta Premium, which can withstand loads of up to 8 tonnes per axle.
