hanit® Decking Boards Made from Recycled Plastic – Robust Solution for Jetties and Outdoor Areas
Whether at a swimming lake, on paths through damp landscape areas or on a private terrace, the grooved decking boards made from hanit® recycled plastic are suitable for a wide range of outdoor applications.
The profiled surface supports secure footing and makes the boards particularly suitable for areas where moisture regularly occurs. At the same time, the material is weather-resistant, rot-resistant and splinter-free. Regular surface treatment such as painting, varnishing or impregnation is not required.
hanit® can be sawn, drilled, screwed and otherwise worked using suitable tools. This allows the boards to be used flexibly in a variety of constructions.
Advantages Compared with Wood and WPC
Compared with untreated wood or wood that requires regular maintenance, hanit® offers the advantage that no regular surface treatment through painting, oiling or impregnation is required. The material is also rot-resistant and splinter-free.
Compared with many WPC products, hanit® can also offer advantages depending on the application: the material consists of recycled plastic and contains no wood fibres. This means that material characteristics associated with wood-containing composites do not apply.
For use on jetties, paths and other outdoor areas, hanit® is therefore particularly suitable where weather resistance, low maintenance requirements and a robust material are important.
hanit® Recycled Plastic with "Blauer Engel"
hanit® construction products made from recycled plastic are awarded the "Blauer Engel" environmental label. The award is based on the criteria for products made from recycled plastics according to DE-UZ 30a and documents compliance with defined requirements for the recycled plastic used.
The decking boards combine the characteristic appearance of a profiled board with the material properties of hanit® recycled plastic. They are weather-resistant, rot-resistant and designed for long-term outdoor use.
Thanks to their grooved surface and classic colour, they are suitable for jetties, paths, terraces, public leisure facilities and other outdoor areas.

Processing Instructions for hanit® Decking Boards
When installing the hanit® decking boards, the temperature-dependent change in length of the material of up to ± 1.5% must be taken into account.
Pre-drilling is recommended for screw connections. The drilled hole should be larger than the screw diameter to allow the material to expand and contract with temperature changes.
Due to possible tool wear, the manufacturer recommends using carbide-tipped tools when working with hanit® products.
Suitable square profiles made from hanit® recycled plastic can be used for the substructure.
