hanit® Paddock Grids – Stable Ground Reinforcement with Water-Permeable Grid Structure
hanit® paddock grids made from recycled plastic are suitable for stabilising paddocks, riding arenas, turnout areas and feeding zones. The open grid structure creates a reinforced surface while still allowing rainwater to drain or infiltrate through the openings.
With their strong ribs and integrated connecting hooks, the panels form a stable surface system and are designed to withstand the concentrated loads caused by horse hooves.
In addition to equestrian use, the paddock grids are also suitable for access roads, parking areas, storage areas and other load-bearing outdoor surfaces.
hanit® Recycled Plastic – Awarded the Blue Angel Environmental Label
The paddock grids are made from hanit® recycled plastic. The hanit® material used has been awarded the Blue Angel environmental label and therefore meets defined requirements for the recycled plastic used.
hanit® is weather-resistant, frost-resistant, UV-resistant and suitable for long-term outdoor use. Thanks to their low weight, the panels are easier to transport and install than many solid ground reinforcement solutions made from stone or concrete.
Suitable for High Loads
hanit® paddock grids are designed for SLW 60 load class according to DIN 1072 and can therefore also be used for access roads and parking areas with higher loads, provided that the sub-base is suitable and the panels are installed correctly.
The integrated connecting hooks create a stable connection between the individual panels. The strong ribs support the load-bearing capacity of the surface.
Water-Permeable Construction Instead of Full Surface Sealing
The grid structure allows the panels to be filled with suitable material and supports the drainage or infiltration of rainwater.
The stated sealed surface proportion is 58%. This means the area is not completely unsealed, but has a partially open structure.
Depending on the subsoil, infill material and installation conditions, the grid structure can help reduce waterlogging, puddle formation and heavily softened areas.

High load-bearing capacity for different requirements
Depending on the filling material, the lawn honeycomb grids can be driven on by everything from light cars to heavy vehicles. The particularly robust BodPave 85 achieves a load capacity of up to 400t/m². This makes it suitable even for fire brigade access roads or other heavily loaded areas of application. The heavy-duty floor panels made of hanit recycled plastic achieve a similar load capacity.
Flexible use with gravel or turf
The plastic grids can be filled with either gravel or turf substrate. Both variants create a resilient surface while remaining water-permeable. Thanks to the open structure of the honeycombs, rainwater quickly seeps into the ground, preventing sealing and ensuring that the surface remains ecologically beneficial.
Thanks to the integrated ground pegs, the turf honeycombs are securely fixed in the ground. This means that they remain stable in place even under heavy loads and do not slip. The result is a permanently accessible surface with high stability.
