TUBEX Combitube Plus – the growth sleeve for open spaces
The TUBEX Combitube tree protection tube is a growth sleeve that has been specially developed for open spaces. A special ventilation system ensures constant movement of the tree in the growth sleeve caused by the wind. This allows the tree to acclimatize to the outdoor climate at an early stage. At the same time, the roots and tree trunk are strengthened and the tree bark is hardened. Ventilation in the growth sleeve is ensured by 4 mm long perforations, which are arranged in several 100 mm long areas. The higher humidity inside the growth sleeve reduces water stress and enables the plants to survive even in dry conditions. In addition, the tree protection tube provides reliable protection against sweeping and browsing and protects the young tree from competing flora.
TUBEX Combitube Plus – reliable tree protection during herbicide application
The TUBEX Combitube tree protection sleeve has the same material properties as the classic TUBEX Ventex: The rounded edge lip at the top of the growth sleeve prevents abrasions on shoots and tree trunks. In addition, a perforation line allows the growth sleeve to be broken open when the trunk grows thick enough. Thanks to the use of UV-stabilized polypropylene (PP), TUBEX Combitube growth sleeves can also be removed from the forest without leaving any residue after breaking open.
In contrast to the TUBEX Ventex growth sleeve, where the ventilation holes are located at the lower end of the tree protection tube, the ventilation in the TUBEX Combitube growth sleeve is located at the upper end. As the lower section (45 cm) has no perforations, the TUBEX Combitube growth sleeve is particularly recommended for locations where herbicides are used.
Installation instructions – for effective protection against browsing and gnawing
To install the TUBEX Combitube growth sleeve, use a plant stake and drive it approximately 30 cm into the ground. Press the TUBEX Combitube tree protection sleeve firmly into the ground to prevent gaps for rodents and ensure reliable protection against gnawing. Use the pre-installed cable ties to secure the growth sleeve.
