Treeguard Layflat Roll Goods – For maximum flexibility in protecting your trees
For effective protection against browsing and gnawing, trees must be protected at different heights, depending on the local wildlife population. We recommend a tree protection height of 0.60 m for small animals such as rabbits, 1.20 m for roe deer, 1.50 m for fallow deer, and 1.80 m for red deer. The TUBEX Treeguard Layflat roll is a flat, compressed plastic mesh tube with a length of 100 m. The tree protection mesh roll can be stored in a space-saving manner and is ready for use at any time. Depending on requirements, the required length/height can be cut from the roll and formed into a stable, closed tree protection mesh tube in just a few steps.
Reliable protection against browsing under natural growing conditions
The green Treeguard flat tree protection grids are visually unobtrusive and have a service life of at least 7 years, depending on location and climatic conditions. The browsing protection grids have a mesh size of approx. 12 mm x 12 mm. This mesh structure ensures reliable tree protection while still allowing the plant to grow in its natural climate. Weather influences such as sun, wind, and precipitation are not impeded by the Treeguard tree protection mesh.

tubes can be formed in just a few steps using Treeguard Layflat roll material:
- Cut the required tree protection
height lengthwise from the Layflat roll. - Press against the fold edge of the grid to form an oval tree protection
tube. - Carefully place the resulting grid tube over the tree. If necessary, press any existing branches against the trunk while placing the tube over the tree.
- Attach 2 bamboo or wooden sticks to the inside of the mesh to stabilize the tube shape.
- Finally, secure the tree protection mesh tube to the sticks with cable ties.
NOTE: To protect trees that have already formed a crown and are too large for a closed tube, we recommend our Treeguard Cutsheets or Treeguard Roll Goods.
