The affordable vine protection tube with a smaller diameter
Due to its slightly smaller diameter, TUBEX Ecovine is the most cost-effective alternative for successful vine protection and faster growth. TUBEX Ecovine has become a popular and economical solution for planting new vines and is made of lighter material compared to other vine protection sleeves (e.g., Vine Original). The service life is approximately 2-3 years, depending on climate and location conditions.
The TUBEX Ecovine vine protection tube reduces the growth of suckers and side shoots, which leads to less work. In addition, the survival rates of new plantings are significantly increased by the use of vine protection sleeves.
Better growth and reliable protection against browsing up to a height of 60
cm Ecovine vine protection tubes support the growth of young vines in many ways, enabling earlier harvesting and higher yields:
• Their translucent, light green color allows the vine protection tubes to provide optimal light transmission.
• A microclimate similar to that in a greenhouse forms inside the vine protection sleeve.
• The vine protection tube has higher humidity—a valuable resource for young vines, especially in hot locations.
In addition to promoting growth, TUBEX Ecovine also serves as protection against browsing. With a height of up to 60 cm, it provides effective protection against small animals and rodents. In addition, the vine protection sleeve provides reliable protection when using herbicides or during mechanical maintenance work.
Notes and special features TUBEX Ecovine is
very easy to use. After planting, the vine protection tube is simply placed over the young vine. If necessary, the vine protection tube can be attached to a wooden stick. The rounded upper edge prevents abrasions on shoots and stems during the growth phase. For reliable protection against browsing, the vine protection sleeve should be pressed firmly into the ground to prevent gaps for rodents.
Due to their small diameter, TUBEX Ecovine vine protection sleeves are primarily suitable for small-leaved grape varieties. For large-leaved vines, we recommend our Vine Originals.
Please note that 4 vine protection tubes are always inserted into each other for transport.
